Introducing our new forum

In April 2021 we launched our new, improved forum. Here's everything you need to know about the change.

Over the last few years, we’ve been asking for feedback on how we can improve our forum. This is to make sure we give you the best experience possible.

Thanks to your feedback, we’ve been able to create what we hope is the perfect space to support, share, and connect with likeminded people in the MS community.

Our new forum - what you need to know

What’s changed

The forum moved onto a new digital platform on 20 April 2021. This means all the old threads and discussion boards were moved as well.

If you were already a forum member, you’ll keep your account and all your details and private messages. And you can still access our forum using the community button on our homepage, or going directly to community.mssociety.org.uk

How has the forum been improved?

Our new forum is easy for everyone to use. For example, the layout is designed to support people using screen readers.

You might want to use the forum on a different device or on the move. All the features will work on mobile phones, tablets, laptops and desktop computers.

The design has also been improved. That means it will be easier to navigate and find things you want to read or comment on.

And it has some brilliant new features. You’ll be able to:

  • use emoji
  • bookmark threads you’d like to read at a later time
  • tag other users in your posts.

We’ll be announcing more features soon. Watch this space.

What do I need to do?

We sent all forum members an email with a link to change their password.

If you missed our email with your unique link, don’t worry. Simply head over to our new forum and click on ‘forgotten password’ on the login page.

Follow the instructions to change your password, and your account will be activated.

What will happen to my old forum username?

You’ll keep your old username. But user names with a space will now include an underscore instead. For example, ‘Forum User’ will now be ‘Forum_User’.

What happened to the old forum?

All threads and comments from the old forum have been moved to our new forum, so you'll be able to continue all your conversations.
